Nuance has announced that as of March 31, 2021, Dragon Medical Practice Edition 4 will no longer be sold and that support for Dragon Medical Practice Edition ended on March 31, 2022. Any dealer still selling Dragon Medical Practice Edition is violating their contract with Nuance and selling you overpriced and unsupported software that may put your organization at risk of HIPAA non-compliance. The end of maintenance and support means that Dictation Direct and Nuance will not work to prevent or resolve any security issues that may arise for Dragon Medical Practice Edition. Dictation Direct and Nuance will not be responsible for any security incidents, breaches or other security failures if customers choose to continue to use Dragon Medical Practice Edition without support. Additionally, support for Windows 11 will not be added.
